Inspired by the book The Planets by Dava Sobel (davasobel.com), Sol Invictus is a radiant homage to our life-giving star. Blending electronic and orchestral elements, the piece captures the sun’s role as both nurturer and force of awe-inspiring power.

Originally released in 2008 as Giver of Life (Sol), this track served as the opener to my now-retired concept album La famille du solénoïde. Years later, with fresh perspective and refined production tools, I fully restored and reimagined the piece as Sol Invictus—the launch track for my upcoming Infinity Volume III.

With Sobel’s gracious permission to include quotes from her book in supporting visuals, and using imagery from NASA/SDO and the AIA, EVE, and HMI science teams, this track represents the intersection of science, story, and sound.
