"When the first light fades behind you,
the path does not grow easier.
It turns beneath root and ruin,
where relics remember, shadows listen,
and every step asks what you are willing to carry."

— Morn Catupatus

A relic. A crossing. A shadow falling across the path.

Relics & Shadows – EP continues the unfolding journey of The Infinite Weave: Epica, following the first steps taken in The Awakening. Where that first EP opened the way through vision, silence, rebirth, and the first fragile light, this second chapter moves deeper into the unknown.

The path has begun — but it is no longer quiet.

It opens with “Tiny Creatures (The Companions)”, where the vastness of the journey narrows into something more intimate. Small movements flicker at the edges of perception, playful yet mysterious, reminding us that not every guide announces itself with grandeur. Some arrive as tiny presences in the dark — curious, watchful, and far more important than they first appear.

From there, “Jade (The Enchanted Relic)” reveals an object touched by something older than memory. The music glows with quiet mystery, circling around a sense of discovery that feels both wondrous and dangerous. This is not merely a treasure found along the road. It is a relic with weight, history, and purpose — something that seems to recognize the one who carries it.

In “The Crossing (The Trial)”, the journey reaches a threshold. Motion becomes tension. The path no longer simply unfolds; it demands a choice. The music carries the feeling of stepping onto uncertain ground, where every movement matters and the distance between courage and fear becomes razor thin. This is the moment where the traveler must continue forward, even without knowing what waits on the other side.

With “Dusk (The Somber Horizon)”, the light begins to fall. The warmth of dawn gives way to something quieter, heavier, and more reflective. The horizon remains visible, but it no longer promises easy answers. Instead, it asks the traveler to look back at what has been gained, what has been lost, and what shadows now follow behind.

And throughout the EP, the sense of the journey changes.

The Weave is no longer only calling from beyond the veil. It is shaping the road beneath your feet. Companions gather. Relics awaken. Trials emerge. Shadows lengthen.

What began as a whisper has become a burden, a mystery, and a choice.

This is the sound of the second step — when wonder meets uncertainty, when the path darkens, and when the things found along the way begin to reveal that they were never found by accident.

Carry the relic.
Cross the threshold.
Step deeper into The Weave…
